James Wright is a British creative director, photographer, editor and filmmaker working across image-making, publishing, film and brand culture.
In 2012, he founded So It Goes, the independent arts and culture magazine and creative studio. Through the publication, he has conceived and led editorial projects featuring Cate Blanchett, Tilda Swinton, Amy Adams, Mark Ruffalo, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Greta Gerwig, Adam Driver, Carey Mulligan, Cillian Murphy, Jeremy Strong and Florence Welch.
His commercial practice spans creative direction, photography, editorial strategy, campaigns and special projects, bringing together cinematic image-making, cultural intelligence and a distinctive editorial sensibility.
Before founding So It Goes, James worked in American politics and independent film, including Barack Obama’s presidential campaign, and wrote and co-produced a Sony short directed by Ed Zwick.
Based in the UK and working internationally.
